Today was a travel day. After dropping off our dog at "puppy jail", we headed out about 2pm for Warda. Eve headed out about 30 mins before us from San Antonio, and we arrived at Warda at about the same time. Elie had family commitments and joined us a couple of hours later.
The camping area here is on the other side of the cattle pastures. The cattle were out in the near pasture and so we opened and closed the cattle gates on our way through to camp. We settled in and got camp set up without any issues and awaited Elie's arrival.
Once Elie arrived, he set up his tent and it was time to go into town for dinner. It is a luxury when touring to have a vehicle to run into town with for dinner. Since it was Easter Sunday, several of the places in Giddings were closed. I failed to think about this when planning the tour! We found a Mexican restaurant near the end of town that was open and decided it was the best option. Obviously, that's where the magaritas were. It was a nice large margarita!
Now we are back in camp and relaxing before bed. I brought some good sipping tequila with me and we are sampling that as we chat. It's a little damp and starting a fire without assistance of lighter fluid was not to be, so no campfire tonight.
